Our History
John R Kroo Construction, Inc. began in 1989 and became an Oregon corporation in 1994. In the early 1990's John and another business partner designed and built several duplexes and single family homes. With the 90's economic downturn he shifted focus to residential remodels and other projects. In 2015 he decided to get back into the residential new construction field where we are today. Also in 2015 the business separated the residential new construction portion and created a new division named Elk Ridge Homes. In 2018 we expanded again into small commercial construction with the building of a wine tasting room in Newberg.

Team Member - Heather Kroo
John has been working in construction over 45 years as a building contractor, beginning at a young age working in the family concrete business. In 1989 he was able to open his own successful general contracting business. John has been building custom homes since the 1990s as well as other construction projects.

Team Member - Heather Kroo
Heather has been working in Accounting and Business Administration for over 25 years. Most of that time has been in the home construction industry. Heather began helping in John's construction business in the mid-2000's and in 2014 took a much more active role. Today Heather has a key role in estimating and project management and works to keep the projects on time and on budget.

We use only local, licensed, bonded and insured subcontractors that provide quality workmanship at a fair price. Our suppliers provide quality materials at reasonable prices and can often deliver the same day. We all work together as a team to make your dream a reality!
